Governor Generals of Canada

Introduction:

Of Canada's twenty-six Governors General since Confederation in 1867, three were closely related to the British Royal Family. One of them was a member of the Royal Family (HRH the Duke of Connaught and Strathearn), while the other two were married to members of the Royal Family (the Duke of Argyll, and the Earl of Athlone).

The following is a list of the male-line and female-line descendants of these Governors General of Canada. (The Duke of Argyll did not have any children, but is included here because of his relationship to the Royal Family.)
